Go to the MountainAt Wild Woman
Oil, acrylic, and pastel on stretched canvas, 40x30"
This was a breakthrough piece created for my first solo show at Hotel Teatro in June 2019. I wrote about this piece last year:
"I’ll always remember when I first moved to Denver, taking to the road and driving straight toward the mountains almost every day. I’d get a rush every time I saw them, feeling so grateful for and alive with their beauty. These mountains changed my life. They’ve given me strength. They’ve inspired me endlessly. They’ve brought me face to face with my insignificance and my worth.
I’ve been inspired by both inner and outer landscapes for as long as I can remember. As a deeply feeling person, my life has been ruled by the natural world and emotion, often simultaneously. I’ve been trying to capture this feeling through artwork for years, and I feel I’ve made my first real stride in depicting the internal/external experience through this piece -- the very last one I created for this show."
Ready to hang: Canvas depth is 1" deep on wooden frame with white sides.
